first we'll take the case of concave mirror..
the mirror formula is.......1/f = 1/v + 1/u.
in our case u = -15cm
                  f = -10cm
therefore  1/-10 = 1/-15 + 1/v
               1/v = 1/-10 + 1/15
                 v = -30
magnification formula is -v/u
.....................30/-15
the object is magnified with a factor of -2
the image formed is real inverted, magnified.

Answer:

+ 6 cm

Explanation:

Given :

Object distance = - 10 cm

Focal length = + 15 cm

We have to find image distance.

We know :

1 / f = 1 / v + 1 / u

1 / v = 1 / f - 1 / u

1 / v = 1 / 15 + 1 / 10

1 / v = 1 / 6

v = + 6 cm

Hence .image distance is 6 cm from the mirror behind it.

The image is erect and virtual.
