An object is placed at a distance of 20 CM in front of a convex mirror of radius of curvature 30 cm find the position of the image and its nature

u= -20
f=R/2
=30/2
= +15
By the mirror formula:-
1/v+1/u=1/f
1/v=1/15-(-1/20)
=+7/60 cm
The image formed will be virtual and erect

Here,

u=-20 cm,

r= 30 cm

f = R/2

f = 30/2

f = 15

Using mirror formula and substituting the above values, we get

v = 60/7cm

The image will be formed at a distance of 60/7cm behind the mirror.
