An object is placed at infinity from a concave mirror of focal length 10 cm. Find the position and nature of image formed. Draw ray diagram to show the formation of image. (not to scale).

here object distance is at infinity
focal length is -10cm
by using mirror formula
1/f = 1/v + 1/u
1/-10 = 1/v + 1/infinity
1/-10 = 1/v + 0
so v = -10 cm
position of image is that the image is formed 10 cm to the left side of the mirror
nature of image is real , inverted and diminished
for ray diagram , refer ncert textbook for concave mirror of object position at infinity and image position at focus.
