Steel is better than plastic for us.
Although plastic items are very cheaper to produce than steel items but are very harmful for the environment. The recycling rate of some plastics is very low and the life cycles are short too. Plastic water bottles and other items often end up in landfills and can take nearly 700 years before they start to decompose. There is one more drawback with many plastic items that they leach, whereas steel items do not leach. The lack of durability of plastic items makes them a poor choice for long time use.
