\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{f}-\dfrac{1}{u}

\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{-10}-\dfrac{1}{-8}

v = 40 cm

Image is formed 40 cm from the mirror.

Magnification, m = -v/u

Hence, the image is magnified.
