Accurate question:- An object is projected upwards with velocity of hundred metre per second. When will it strike the ground, if ‘g’ is equals to 10 metre per second square?

We have, (time to attain maximum height)

Initial velocity = 100 m/s

Acceleration due to gravity = - 10 m/s² (Up)

Final velocity = 0 m/s

We know,

v = u ± at

⇒ - gt = - u

⇒ t = u/g = (100 m/s)/(10 m/s²) = 10 s

∴ Total time = 10 s + 10 s = 20 s.
