an object is thrown with a velocity of 25 m/s upwards and if acceleration due to gravity is 10 m/s2 then find the maximum height it reached

let its initial velocity (u) be 25 m/ s and final velocity ( v) be 0 m/ s

therefore by formula, v²=u²+2as

since we know that a=g but onject is thrown in upward direction therefore g should be negative

therefore, v²=u²+2(-g)s

by substituting the values we get.

0²=25²+2×10×s

0=625-20s

20s=625

s=625/20

s=31.25

therefore an object reached at a maximum height of a 31.25 m
