Answer:

Respective to mirror=6meter squared

Respective to object=12 meter squared

Explanation:

The mirror reflects in a manner so the ball will look like the ball is moving towards the mirror at 6m sqared

If the object seem to move at 6msquared and the actual object travelling at 6 meter squared if we considered in the objects perspective it will look like the reflection is travelling towards it at 12m squared

QUESTION :-

An object move towards a plane mirror at a speed of 6 metre/second. Find the speed of image with respect to mirror and object.

SOLUTION :-

  • As the object is approaching mirror with 6m/s then the image will also approach the mirror with same speed.

☯️Let the speed of the observer with respect to the mirror be 'S m/s'.

☯️Then the speed of image with respect to the mirror will be -S m/s.

So, the speed of image observer will be =

[S-(-S)]m/s

Given that,

S = 6m/s

So, the speed of image with respect to observer =

[6-(-6)] m/s

 = > [6 + 6] \: m/s

= > 12 \: m/s

REQUIRED ANSWER ✍️ :-

An observer moves towards a stationary plane mirror at a speed of 6 m/s the speed of image with respect to mirror is 12 m/s.
