An object moves from one end of a straight road of length 450 m to the other end in 20 seconds .if he comes back from other end to the starting point in 30 seconds ,calculate its average speed and average velocity ?

Average speed==18.75m/s

Average velocity=0

Explanation:

speed1=Distance/Time1

=450/20

=22.5m/s

speed2=Distance/Time2

=450/30

=15m/s

Average speed=(speed1+speed2)/2

=(22.5+15)/2

=37.5/2

=18.75m/s

Average velocity=0

∵Displacement is 0

and velocity=Displacement/time.
