Given :

▪ An object covered first 10m in 2minutes and next 10m in 3minutes.

To Find :

▪ Average speed of object.

Concept :

➡ Average speed is defined as the ratio of total distance travelled to the total time taken.

➡ It is a scalar quantity.

➡ It can't be negative or zero.

➡ It has only magnitude.

➡ SI unit : m/s

Calculation :

\dashrightarrow\sf\:V_{av}=\dfrac{d_1+d_2}{t_1+t_2}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:V_{av}=\dfrac{10+10}{2+3}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:V_{av}=\dfrac{20}{5\times 60}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:V_{av}=\dfrac{1}{15}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\underline{\boxed{\bf{\blue{V_{av}=0.067\:mps}}}}\:\orange{\bigstar}

Solution : -

\implies\tt\bold{{V}_{av}=\dfrac{{d}_{1}+{d}_{2}}{{t}_{1}+{t}_{2}}}

\implies\tt\bold{{V}_{av}=\dfrac{10+10}{2+3}}

\implies\tt\bold{{V}_{av}=\dfrac{20}{5\times{20}}}

\implies\tt\bold{{V}_{av}=\cancel\dfrac{20}{300}}

\implies\tt\bold{{V}_{av}=\dfrac{1}{15}}

\implies\tt{\large{\bold{\bold{\bold{\purple{\sf{{V}_{av}=0.067mps}}}}}}}
