An object moving on a rectangular track of dimensions 6m*8m travels each metre in one second.what will be it's distance traveled and displacement in 42 s?

the distance is 42m and the displacement is 10m

the object speed = 1m/s

the distance covered in 42s =42m

the perimeter =2*14=28m

so, the object has traveled 3/2 of the perimetre.

so, the starting point of the object is a corner the final point will be the opposite corner .

the displacement is the diagonal

 \sqrt{36 + 64}

=10 m
