An object of height 4 cm is placed at a distance of 16 cm from a concave mirror which produces a real image of 3 cm height. Find the image distance.​

Here h1 = 2 cm, u = -16 cm, h2 = -3 cm (Since image is real and inverted.)

∵m=h1h2=−uv∴v=h1−h2u=23×(−16)=−24cm

f1=v1+u1=−241−161=48−2−3=48−5;f=5−48=−9.6cm
