m= 5kg

When it is halfway down,

h= 10/2=5m

Loss in PE=Gain in KE

mgh= KE

5×10×5= KE

KE=250J

Answer:

The kinetic energy will be 490 J.

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of the object m = 5 kg

Height h = 10 m

We know that,

Loss in potential energy = gain in kinetic energy

mgh= k.E

Here, m = mass

h = height

5\times9.8\times10= K.E

K.E= 490\ J

Hence, The kinetic energy will be 490 J.
