an object of mass 50 is moving with a velocity of 12 m/s suddenly it breaks down into two parts , one of them move further with a velocity of 18 m/s and another went backwards with the velocity of 12 m/s find the mass of both parts

Simply conserve momentum .. And let the masse be m1 and m2 .. And one eqn will be. From conservation of mass .. Ans. Will be 40 & 10 .. In the given units of mass.. Cz u have not provided unit of mass here
