An object of mass 50 kg has a volume of 20 cm^3. Calculate the density of the object. If the density if the water is 1gm/cm^3, state whether the object wil sink or float?

Density of object = Mass / Volume
= (50 kg) / (20 cm^3)
= 2.5 kg/cm^3
= 2500 g/cm^3

2500 g/cm^3 > 1 g/cm^3

Object is more dense. It will sink.
