Explanation:

potential energy = Mgh

= 50*10*8

= 4000 J

Answer:

An object of mass 50kg is raised to a height of 8m above the ground.

The potential energy

PE = mgh = 50*9.8*8 = 3920 J

The final velocity is,

 {v}^{2}  -  {u}^{2}  = 2as \\  {v}^{2}  = 2 \times 9.8 \times 8 \\  {v}^{2}  = 156.8 \\ v = 12.52 \:  \frac{m}{s}

The kinetic energy is,

ke \:  =  \frac{1}{2} m {v}^{2}  \\ ke =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 50 \times  \times 156.8 = 3920 \: j
