Hi there !!!
Here we have to find the pressure exerted by an object when its dimensions are 50 cm × 30 cm
We are given the mass of the object as 6 kg
Area of the object placed on table top = 50 cm × 30 cm
= 1500 cm²
We know that 1 m² = 10000 cm²
Thus , 1500 cm ² = 1500 ÷ 10000
Area of the object placed on table top = 0.15 m²
g = 10 m/s²
Force = mg
= 6 × 10
= 60 N
Pressure is the force/ thrust acting on an unit
area .
Pressure = Force ÷ Area
= 60 ÷ 0.15
= 400 Pa = 400 N/m²⁻
