An object of mass 6 kg. is resting on a horizontal surface. A horizontal force
of 15 N is constantly applied on the object. The object moves a distance of
100m in 10 seconds,
(a) How much work does the applied force do?
(b) What is the kinetic energy of the block after 10 seconds?
(c) What is the magnitude and direction of the frictional force (if there is any)?
D) How much energy is lost during motion?

Answer:

C. there would be no friction until it is mentioned in the question.

D. final energy is 3000J and work done is only 1500J. So, the energy lost is equal to 1500J.
