Answer:

Explanation:

Height of the object = 1.5cm

Distance of the object from the

mirror (u) = 30 cm

Focal length of the mirror(f)= 20 cm

By the mirror formula

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

1/20 = 1/v +1/30

Therefore, 1/v = 1/20 - 1/30

1/v = 1/60

Therefore, v = 60 cm

Now by the magnification formula

h2/h1 = -v/u

Where H2 is the height of the image and H1 is the height of the object...

h2/1.5 = -60/30

h2 = 1.5 X (-2)

Therefore, h2 = - 3cm

The value is in negative since the image is inverted..

Thus, the position of the image from the mirror is 60 cm away

The size of the image is 3 cm.

And the nature of the image is real and inverted...

Hope it helps you...
