An object of size 3 cm is placed 20cm in front of a convex lens of focal length 15cm describe the image produced by the lens. Also find the magnification.​

h = 3cm

u = -20 cm

f = 15 cm

1/v - 1/u = 1/f

1/v = 1/f + 1/u

= 1/15 + 1/-20

= 1/15 - 1/20

= 4 - 3/60

1/v = 1/60

v = 60 cm

m = v/u

m = 60 / -20

m = -3
