Answer:

An object placed in front of a concave mirror at a distance of x cm from the pole gives a 3 times magnified real image. If it is moved to a distance of (x+5)cm, the magnification of the image becomes 2.

Hope it helps.

Please thanks.

Answer:

Diverging mirror is also known as Convex mirror.

u= -30

h of image= 1/5(h of object)

Since the image is erect , h of image is positive.

Now, let height of object be x and h of image therefore will be x/5

we know that -v/u = h(i)/h(o)

:. -v/-30 = (x/5)/x

-v = -30x/5x

-v = -6

:. v = 6

The image is formed 6 cm behind the mirror.

Now, v=6 u= -30

Using the mirror formula 1/v + 1/u = 1/f

1/6 + -1/30 = 1/f

5-1/30 =1/f

4/30 = 1/f

2/15 =1/f

f=15/2 or f= 7.5 cm

Hope it helps u !!
