initial velocity(u) = 0

Acceleration = 5 m/s^2

Time = 3 s

Final velocity(v) = ?

1st equation of motion

V = u + at

V = 0 +5*3

V = 0 + 15

V = 15 m/s^2

Explanation:

GIVEN :-

Initial velocity , u = 0 m/s. [ starting from rest ]

  • Acceleration , a = 5 m/s².

  • Time , t = 3s.

TO FIND :-

  • velocity after 3 seconds , v.

SOLUTION :-

As we know that ,

➳ Acceleration = (Final - initial velocity)/time

➳ a = (v - u)/t

✮ Substituting all the given values,

➳ 5 m/s² = (v - 0)/3

➳ 5 × 3 = v - 0

➳ 15 = v - 0

➳ 15 + 0 = v

➳ 15 = v

Hence velocity after 3 seconds is 15 m/s.

✮ Verification,

➳ 5 m/s² = (15 - 0)/3

➳ 5 = 15/3

➳ 5 = 5

Hence Verified.
