given,v=0m/s
h/s=500m
g/a=-10m/s^2
by third equation of motion :-
2gh=v^2-u^2
2×-10×500=0^2-u^2
-10000=-u^2
therefore,u/initial velocity of the object=100m/s
time(t) can be found by first equation of motion:-
v=u+gt
0=100+(-10t)
-100=-10t
therefore total time taken(t)=10seconds(s)
thank u,hope it helps!^_^
