An object travels 16 m in 4 s and then another in 16 m 2 s . Find average speed.

average speed =total distance/total time

= 16m+16m/4s+2s

=32m/6s

=16/3m/s

total distance travelled by the objective is equal 16m + 16 m =32m
total time taken = US + 2S = 6 s
average speed = time distance travelled / total unit taken.
 \frac{32 \: m}{6 \: s} m \:  = 5.33  \: {ms}^{ - 1}  \:
therefore average speed of the object is 5.33
 {ms}^{ - 1}
