Given,

\bigstar Object distance Traveled = d1 = 20m

\bigstar Object time Travel es = t1 = 3 sec

\bigstar Object distance Traveled = d2 =20m

\bigstar Object time Traveled = t2 = 2 sec

To find:-

Average speed of the object

Now,....

S = \frac{d}{t}

S = Average speed

d = Total distance

t=Total time

Calculations:-

S = \frac{d}{t}

S = \frac{d1+d2}{t1+t2}

S=\frac{20+20}{3+2}

S=\frac{40}{5}

S=9m/s^2

So,

The average speed of the object is 9m/s^2.

Answer:

The Average speed of the object is 8m/s

Explanation:

Given that,

An object travels 20m in 3 seconds and then another 20m in 2s.

We divide the above journey into two sessions as follows.

Session-1

Distance travelled by the object is 20m

 =  >  d_{1} = 20m

The time taken to cover this distance is 3sec

 =  > t _{1} = 3s

Session-2

Distance travelled by the object is 20m

 =  > d _{2} = 20m

The time taken to cover this distance is 2sec

 =  > t _{2} = 2s

The average speed of the object is mathematucally equal to the ratio of the total distance covered by it in its entire journey of motion and the total time taken by it to cover the distance.Hence,Mathematically we write it as

V_{avg}=\frac{total  \: distance}{total  \: time} \\ =\frac{d_{1}+d_{2}}{t_{1}+t_{2}}

Substituting the given values in the above relation,we get

V_{avg} =  \frac{20 + 20}{3 + 2}  =  \frac{40}{5}  = 8ms {}^{ - 1}

Therefore,the average speed of the object is found to be 8m/s
