An object travels 30 m in 5 s and another 20 m in 5 s. What is the average speed of the object?

Average speed = total distance travelled / total time taken
                         = 30+20/5+5
                         = 50/10
                         = 5 m/s

The formula for Average Speed= Total distance travelled / Total Time taken............... Total distance = 30m+20m= 50m.......... And........ Total time = 5s+5s= 10s......... Now , put the values in the formula............ Average Speed= 50/10 m/s= 5m/s...............
