An oblong garden 200 m long and 180 m wide has two cross roads in its centre. The
width of the longer road is 4 m and that of the shorter road is 3 m. Find the cost
of watering the garden at 30 paise per square metre.​

The area of the road across the garden is [(3 × 180) + (4 × 200) - (4 × 3)] = 1328 sq. meters. Now, the area of the full rectangle with sides 200 m and 180 m is (200 × 180) = 36000 sq. meters.
