diameter=2m
radius=1m
height=7m
therefore, total surface area of one drum is,
2×22/7×1 (1+7) sq.m
=352/7 sq.m
therefore, the painter will charge for painting 10 such drums= rs. 352/7×10×3 = rs. 1508.57 (app)

Given,
Diameter of the oil drum = 2 m
Radius of the cylinder = r = d/2 = 2/2 = 1 m
Total surface area of cylindrical drum = 2 x πr (r+h)
= 2 x 22/7 x 1(1+7)
= 2 x 22/7 x 8
= 352/7 m²
= 50.28 m²
T.S.A of drum = 50.28 m²
Painting Charge per 1m² = Rs. 3
Cost of painting of 10 drums = 50.28 x 3 x 10
= Rs. 1508.40
Hence, charge to be paid to painter for 10 drums = Rs. 1508.40
