Slowly, she said that her husband who was sleeping had accidentally rolled off the bed and was in pain. She could neither lift him up nor helphim get up on his own. The friend arrived shortly and they took the old man to the hospital. Shobhit felt that it was not safe to leave the old lady alone. So, they took her as well. They had to wait for some time to meet the doctor. The old man was graining in pain and his wife as sobbing uncontrollably. Finally, it was their turn to meet the doctor. After examining the patient, the doctor said that it was a case of multiple fracture and he had to undergo an operation. When Shobhit asked the old lady abouther children so that he could inform them, she said that she had only one child and that he was abroad. He never visited them and they always managed by themselves. Shobhit decided that he would take the place of the son and requested the doctor to go ahead with the required treatment. From that day, Shobhit considered them asthe grandparents he never had. The old man made a speedy recovery and they returned home soon. Shobhit made it a point to check on them daily andfind out if there was anything he could do for them.
