Answer:

It will take the same 40 minutes to play the symphony by 60 players.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since in an orchestra each player plays parallely, i.e. everyone plays the same line simultaneously, hence the length of the play never depends on the number of players playing it.

Hence, time taken by 60 players = time taken by 120 players = 40 minutes.

So 60 person will play the 9th harmony in same 40 minutes.

Answer:

80 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Total Players= a= 120

           time taken by them= t1 = 40 minutes

           Total players left =b= 60

            time taken by them=t2=?

Now from the Proportionality we Know that for in inverse relation

a : b :: t2 : t1

putting the values

120:60 :: t2 : 40

changing  proportionality sign to equality

120 : 60 = t2 : 40

also we know that a:b = \frac{a}{b}

so it will become

\frac{120}{60}=\frac{t2}{40}

Cross multiplying and solving gives

2 * 40 = t2

t2=80 minutes

So It will take 80 minutes for them to play symphony
