An ordinary glass bottle cracks when boiling water is poured into it, but aborosil glass bottle does not. Give reason.

The answer is the element which is used in borosilicate glass.
There are certain derivatives of elements that are used in borosilicate glass whose melting point is a very high i.e.500 degrees. They are boron oxide and silicon dioxide.They are non-toxic so safe for cookware and labware.
