An organic compound A with molecular formula C2H4O2 on reaction with Sodium metal Na releases a gas B which readily catches fire. A on reacting with Ethanol in the presence of concentrated Sulphuric acid gives a sweet smelling substance C used in making perfumes. 

Write a balanced chemical equation to represent these two reactions and identify   the compounds A, B and C.

A is ethanoic acid,B is hydrogen in. H2 and C is ester ie. CH3C2H50H

A - Ethanoic acid - CH₃COOH
B - Hydrogen - H₂
C - Ethyl Ethanoate(Ester) - CH₃COOC₂H₅

Reaction 1:
A + Na  → a compound + B(↑)
2CH₃COOH + 2Na → 2CH₃COONa + H₂(↑)

Reaction 2:
A + Ethanol → C + water
CH₃COOH + C₂H₅OH → CH₃COOC₂H₅ + H₂O
