An organic compound 'X' reacts with 2, 4. DNP
and produces organge precipitate. It does not
reduce Tollen's regent. It react with I2 and
NaOH and give yellow coloured iodoform. X is
1) CH3-CH2-CHO 2) CCI3-CO-C6H5
3) CH3-CO-C2H5, 4) C2H5 -CO-C2H5

3 is the correct answer.
Aldehyde and ketone gives 2,4-DNP test.
Aldehyde can reduce tollen's reagent but ketone can't. So option 1 must be wrong.
Iodoform test can be given by only methyl ketone and methyl carbinol.
So,option 2 and 4 must be wrong.
Option 3 satisfies all the conditions.
It have methyl ketone.
