An ornament weight 12.5 gms. it has 2.5 gold and rest as alloy. Find ratio of pure gold to alloy

Ornament = 12.5 g

Gold = 2.5 g

Alloy = 10 g

Ratio of gold to alloy = 2.5/10 = 1:4

An ornament weight = 12.5 g
Gold = 2.5 g
Alloy = 12.5 -2.5 = 10 g
Ratio of pure Gold to Alloy = 2.5/10 = 25/100= 1/4= 1:4
