Using bending formula,

E/R = M/I = f/y

Given d = 20 mm

So, y(max) = d/2 = 10 mm

R = 10 m = 10000 mm

E = 2 x 10^6 kg/cm^2

f(max) = 2 x 10^6 x 10 / 10000

          = 2 x 10^3 kg/cm^2

Hope this helps...   : )

Given Data:

d = 20 mm

Y = d/2 = 20/2 = 10 mm

R = 10 m = 10 × 10^3 mm

E = 2 × 10^6 kg/cm^2

•Calculation:

F(max) = E/R x Y

F(max) = { 2×10^6 / 10×10^3 } x 10

•°• F(max) = 2 x 10^3 kg/cm^2
