Vi = 18 m/s ,       Vf = 0 m.s ,     m = 1,550 kg   , t = 8 sec

By equation of motion , we get

Vf = Vi + at

0  = 18 + a(8)  ⇒   -18 = 8a

8 a = =18

  a = -18/8

  A = - 9/4

Now

 F = ma

 F = (1550)( - 9/4)

 F = - 3487.5 N
