"Anaerobic process after glycolysis is (d) None of these.

Glycolysis, as such, is an anaerobic process. After glycolysis, depending on oxygen availability the cell may choose to enter aerobic or anaerobic respiration.

Anaerobic respiration occurs in the cytoplasm of cells and is generally of two types: homolactic fermentation and alcoholic fermentation.

In homolactic fermentation, NADH combines with pyruvate to from lactate. This is catalysed by lactate dehydrogenase.

Whereas in alcoholic fermentation, pyruvate is converted to acetaldehyde by pyruvate dehydrogenase which then combines with NADH to form ethanol.
