Answer:TRANSITION FROM SUBSISTENCE TO COMMERCIAL AGRICULTURE, Early 1800's: As towns were created, it placed more demands for food and related products on the nearby farmers. What the farmers did not need for their families was transported to nearby markets as well as those further away.
