Hey mate here is your answer:-

*The element whose valance, electron 2 belongs to the gr-we

oup 2 of the modern periodic tables like :-magnesium .

Electronic configuration of magnesium:-

Mg (12 ):-k L M

2 8 2

*Since atomic number is equal to the number of protons of any element, hence magnesium has 12 protons hence its Atomic No. =12.

*Since vallancey of the element is the combining capacity of the element, since magnesium has to balance electron in its outermost shell, hence it has 2 Valence.

Hope it helps!!
