Brain is divided into three parts,

i) Fore brain

ii) Midbrain

iii) Hindbrain

i) Forebrain:

Forebrain comprises cerebrum and diencephalon

★Diencephalon largely consists of Epithalamus , Thalamus , Hypothalamus & Limbic system.

[Brain stem is the part of brain between the spinal cord and the diencephalon. It consists of midbrain,pons varoli and medulla oblangata.]

ii) Midbrain:

★Midbrain comprises pair of longitudinal nervous tissues called cerebral peduncles.

iii) Hindbrain:

★Hindbrain comprises Cerebellum , pons varoli & medulla oblangata .
