Andrew runs 4 laps around a rectangular park 92 m long and 46 m wide. How much distance does he cover in 4 laps?

1 km or 104 m

He ran through the boundary and calculating boundry means to calculate perimeter .

perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

after substituting the values we get equation as ,

2 ( 92 + 46 )

after solving the equation we get ,

=> 184 + 92

=> 276 m

in the Question it is said that he had ran 4 laps around the same boundry .

so 4 times the perimeter is ,

=> 276 × 4

=> 1104 m

OR

=> 1104 / 1000

=> 1 km 104 m

therefore , he ran 1 km 104 m .
