Formula of Simple interest,
SI= (PxRxT)/100
where, P= principal amount
R= rate per annual
T= time(or no. of years)
So, we have,
P= 15000
R= 9
SI=5400
we have to calculate T(no. of years)
Now,
SI= (PxRxT)/100
T= (SI x 100)/(P x R )
= (5400 x 100 ) / (15000 x 9 )
= (540000) / (135000)
= 540/135
= 4
therefore, T(no. of years) = 4
Angela Had deposited the Principal amount for 4 years.
