since supplementary angles= 180°

therefore angle A + angle B =180°

(2x+1)+(x-7)=180°

2x+x+1-7=180°

3x-6=180°

3x=186

x=186/3

x=62°

angle a = 2x+1

= 2*62+1

=124+1

= 125°
