Refer to the figure
We will use two properties of a cyclic quadrilateral :
(1) Sum of the angle measures of opposite angles = 180 degree.
(2) Angles subtended by a chord any where on the circumference in the same segment are equal to each other.
comforted degree:
Let the required angle BAC = θ degree.
_______________________________
As it is clear from the figure, both the angles ABC and BDC are the angles subtended by chord BC on the circumference in the major segment.
degree:
Hence —
Angle BAC = θ = BDC
Angle XBC + Angle ABC = 180 degree
anglere:
=> Angle ABC = (180–89) = 91 degree.
=> Angle ADC = 180 - 91 = 89 degree
=> 47 + θ = 89 degree
=> θ = 89–47 = 42 degree
