Given :-

Length of the Rectangle is 15 cm

Diagonal of the Rectangle  is 17 cm

To Find :-

Breadth of that Rectangle

Solution :-

❍  To calculate the breadth of the rectangle we have to use the pythagoras theorem such that ::

Diagonal² = Length² + Breadth²

Finding the breadth :-

⤳ 17² = 15² + Breadth²

⤳ Breadth² = 17² - 15²

⤳ Breadth² = 289 - 225

⤳ Breadth² = 64

⤳ Breadth = √64

⤳ Breadth = 8 cm

  • Henceforth, the breadth of the rectangle is 8 cm
