2. The defect of vision he is suffering from is hypermetropia.

3. f=1/p

1/0.5

=2m

= 200cm

Focal length =200cm

1. Convex lens ( as power is positive).

2. He suffers from hypermetropia.

3. P = 1/f , f = 1/P

f = 1/0.5 = 2m

Focal length is 2 m or 200cm.
