Math, asked by anjumaaria, 2 months ago

Anil can do a piece of work in 16 days which Shashi
can finish in 24 days. If they work on alternate days with
Anil starting, in how many days the work will be finished?

ans
Let total work=120
Work done by Anil in 1 day = 120/16 = 15/2,
Work done by shashi in 1 day = 120/24= 5
Therefore by the question
15/2+5+15/2+5+15/2+5+15/2+5+15/2+5+15/2+5+15/2+5+15/2+5+15/2+5+15/2=120
Correct answer is 19 days

Answer:

19 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Anil can do a piece of work in 16 days which Shashi

can finish in 24 days.

LCM of 16,24 is 48p

Anil works for 48p/16=3p

Shashi works for 48p/24=2p

Anil and shashi works alternate days

Anil work 3p in 1 day

shashi work 2p in next day

total 5p=2 days

       5p*9=2*9 days

      45p=18 days

remaining work 48-45=3p

       3p=1 day done by anil

total days 18+1=19 days

Answer:

19 days

Step-by-step explanation:

let the total work =48. (taking LCM of days no.)

work done by anil in one day=48/16=3

work done by shashi in one day =48/24=2

as alternatively they are working so in two days=(3+2)=5 work is done..

2days=5 work

2×9days=45 work.

i.e, 45 work is done by day 18.

now 3 units of work is left.

as anil starts the work ,so at odd days its his turn to do work.

on 19th day anil perform his work i.e, 3

so in 19 days work will be completed
