Anil takes 6days less than the time taken by varun to finish a piece of work both can together finish the work in 4 days find the time taken by varun to finish this work

Let Varun takes X days to complete the work.
Then,
Anil takes 6-X days to complete the work.
A/Q,
X+ X-6 = 4
2X = 4+6
X = 10/2 = 5 days
Therefore,
Varun takes 5 days to complete the work.
Then,
Anil takes 6-X = 6-5 = 1

varun 1 day work is 1/x and
hence anil 1 day work is 1/x-6

Together they can do that work in 4 days
~it becomes 1/4
