Some animal right activists, conservationists, human rights activists and many more people linked to the non governmental organisations which are for the safety of the animals including the cocoon.
The issue is quite complicated as to obtain the silk from cocoon the harmless cocoon is put directly in a pot of boiling water where it automatically gets killed, some calm it a humane way to obtain the indigenous silk or the jackpot prize for the industry. Then the thread is unwind from the dead body of cocoon and attached to form a long thread of silk.
The cocoon which is often sacrificed or killed is often put up to question, does not the cocoon deserve the life to live?
