Many types of owls have what appear to be visible ears, but those are just tufts of feathers where we would expect ears to be. Their actual ears are about where most birds ears are.
Birds with naked heads, such as vultures, emus and cassowaries, to name a few, show us easily visible ear holes behind and below the eyes.
